Kurdistan Liberal Democratic Party sent a message to the international community and human rights organizations. The international media and all freedom fighters of the world, which is the text of the message.
To the international community and human rights organizations.
International media and all free people around the world.
Peace be upon you who hear the voice of oppression,
The Kurdish nation in Iranian Kurdistan (Rojhelat), both in the past and today, is in a very sensitive and painful situation because of the centralist colonialists. Since late December 2025, a new wave of nationwide protests against poverty, skyrocketing inflation, systematic corruption and continuous repression has begun in Iran, and Eastern Kurdistan has been one of the main centers and vanguards of this popular uprising, but the response of the Islamic Republic to this human demand has only been bullets, shotguns, batons and attacks on ordinary people. Reliable reports in the Kurdistan Human Rights Network and other independent institutions testify to the crimes of the Islamic Republic.
These protests, which initially began with economic demands, have quickly turned into a comprehensive political uprising against the entire system.
With the unprecedented solidarity of the general strike and protests with a large turnout, they sent a firm message to the government: “We will not remain silent anymore.” We expect from the international community and the free media:
We are a people who want to live in peace and dignity, we demand the legitimate demands of our nation like other nations, according to the international community’s manifestos, until our voices are heard, the struggle will continue, and our specific demands from the international community:
1. Official recognition of the national and democratic demands of the people of Iranian Kurdistan (Rojhelat) as part of a democratic solution to the Iranian crisis
2. Dispatching an independent UN investigation team to Iranian Kurdistan (Rojhelat) to document the crimes and press for an immediate end to the massacre.
3. Strongly condemn the siege of hospitals, the shooting of protesters, and the prevention of treatment of the wounded as crimes against humanity. Release all political prisoners.
4. Targeted sanctions against those responsible for the repression in Iranian Kurdistan (Rojhelat) and diplomatic support for the protesters.
5. Support for a comprehensive national dialogue in the future Iran in which the voices of the Kurdish people and other oppressed peoples are heard.
6. Reconsider past policies that have sometimes justified silence against the repression of the Kurds under the pretext of “territorial integrity” – it is time for the rights of nations to come before short-term political interests.
We, the Kurds of Rojhelat, were part of the struggle for freedom, democracy, and justice in all of Iran. But without the recognition of our national rights, no sustainable democracy will be possible in Iran. As long as our demands are not heard and recognized, the resistance and struggle will continue.
